Alive and Kicking

CEO: Glenn Cummings

Alive and Kicking makes high quality, hand stitched sports balls in its not-for- profit stitching centres in Kenya, Zambia and Ghana. Beautifully designed and hand screen printed on local leather, an A+K sports ball makes the perfect gift!

We lift families out of poverty by generating sustainable, ethical, fairly paid jobs in areas of high unemployment, using local materials to make a quality product that adds to the local economies.

Proceeds from selling the balls in the local markets go towards running health programmes to educate young people about preventable diseases – specifically HIV and malaria. We have trained over 1,000 coaches in health related football drills imparting vital health education to over 45,000 children and young people. Since our inception in 2004 we have made over 830,000 balls and donated over 150,000 to children who would otherwise not be able to afford a proper ball.

Check out our website to see our range of balls and ways to support our work within Sub-Saharan Africa.
