Founded by: Chris & Sonya
We run a small family business based in the heart of Cornwall. We have three generations involved in the making, labelling and delivering of our skincare products. Chris works in the office helped by Esther and Sonya makes the creams working with Claire, Nic, and Pauline (Sonya's Mum). John (Sonya's Dad) and Liz (Chris's Mum) drive all over Cornwall and Devon delivering our cream. Our daughter and son often get roped in to lid, label and count creams.
B Skincare - Our aim is to make a natural, good quality, affordable product, offering a first class service to our customers.
The Creams - In practice this means using high quality ingredients and not using parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, fragrances, palm oil or lanolin. We list all our ingredients and are more than happy to answer any questions about them.
Recipes - Our creams are inspired by old country recipes that have been handed down over the years. We do not buy in any bases but start from scratch using ingredients such as beeswax, essential oils, infused oils, honey and flower waters.
Handmade - The creams are handmade each week, so you will not get something that has been sitting on a shelf for ages. Handmade means a real person measures, pours, lids and labels the creams.
Our Customers - Our customers are really important to us. We are a small family business so you will know who you are speaking to and won't be put on hold or have call menus to work through. We aim to send out all orders either on the day of order or the next day. If there is not someone to answer your telephone enquiry immediately we aim to get back to you within 24 hours. We like speaking to our customers, so if you ever have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to ring or email and we will do our best to answer them.
Animal Testing - We would never test our products on animals and work to the standard that all our raw materials have a fixed animal testing cut off date of 1996. The creams are suitable for vegetarians but not vegans as they contain honey and beeswax.
Packaging - We keep packaging to a minimum. Both our glass and plastic jars can be recycled. We use either biodegradable packing chips (from a local business just up the road) or reuse ones that have been sent to us. All our boxes which we send out are recycled from local businesses.. Wherever possible we use local business to keep our carbon foot print down.
We comply fully with EU regulations, which, means that all our recipes are safety assessed & certified by a qualified pharmacist. We are proud to be members of the Made in Cornwall scheme, run by Cornwall County Council Trading Standards department to provide support to genuinely Cornish craft based businesses.
We hope you will enjoy using our products!
